Sweet Sugar Plum Pie Recipe.

I would like to share my  Sweet Sugar Plum Pie Recipe: I can never resist a tart, tempting slice of this beautiful pie. It's a down-home sweet comfort food that makes any home sweet with comfort. The fresh aroma of sugar plum cook in your home brings a delightful feeling to your home. Here is the recipe and I hope you enjoy and find the sweet comfort in your home as well as I did .

Ingredients: 

  1. 2 unbaked pie crusts
  2. 4 cups sliced fresh plums (about 1 -1/2 pounds)
  3. 1/2 cup sugar
  4. 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  5. 1/4 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  6. 1/2 vanilla extract or almond extract
  7. 1 tablespoons cold butter
  8. 2 teaspoons cornstarch (optional)

     Directions:

  1.  In a large bowl, sprinkle plums with lemon juice. Combine all dry ingredients then sprinkle over the plums.
  2. Add to plums; toss gently to coat. Pour into pie shell.
  3. Place top crust over plums, trim crust edges with enough to turn under, then crimp crust edge.
  4. Bake at 450 degrees for 12 minutes or  bake 25 minutes until plums are tender. Cover edges of crust  for the last 5 minutes  if needed to prevent overcooking . Then let it cool down.
